Top 5 Overlooked Palestine-Related Stories: Media Blackouts and Propaganda Exposed (Weekly Recap Ending September 14, 2025)

This is a new segment on our website where we recap key events and stories you've probably missed due to intentional negligence by the media and others. The focus is solely on stories that relate to or impact the Palestinian cause. This recap covers the week ending September 14, 2025, highlighting underreported events that touch on Palestine in some way. What it's not about are the widely heard stories, like the gruesome details of the ongoing holocaust, the deliberate mass demolition and destruction of buildings, the relentless displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians every day, or the slaughter of hundreds of Palestinian children daily. Those are happening every day, and everyone is somewhat aware of them now. But there are other important events in terms of propaganda and how Hasbara operates that are swept under the carpet right in front of our eyes. Most people don't see this propaganda trickery of omission unless they've been following and engaging with this topic for a long time. Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered every week in this recap segment.

Without further ado, here are the five things you missed that were critical to Palestine, the Middle East, and Jewish power last week.

1. Trump Booed Nonstop by Pro-Palestinian Protesters at DC Restaurant

Trump visited a restaurant in DC while promoting his emergency order deploying federal troops to fight what he called rampant, out-of-control crime. As he entered, he was booed nonstop and relentlessly interrupted by young pro-Palestinian people at the dinner. One interesting thing that happened was Trump standing just one foot away from the protesters, staring at them as they chanted "Free Palestine" literally in his face. The entire media was there because he had spoken to them in front of the restaurant just minutes before going in. Assuming the cameras were still on, the protest started, and the people called him "Hitler" while chanting "Free Palestine." However, none of the media picked up this tantalizing story because it involved "Free Palestine." Only CNN mentioned it briefly, and not specifically the part where Trump stared down at the protesters screaming "Free Palestine." This was the Holy Grail moment that the media craves, especially when it involves Trump. It was the biggest setback for Trump, whose entire performance was based on the idea that everybody loves him in DC and nobody's protesting against him. Trump being called "Hitler"—which many media outlets referred to him as before he was elected—you'd think The New York Times and other Trump-critical media would pick it up and run with it nonstop. But that didn't happen. Why? Because the protesters mentioned Palestine, and the Palestinian flag was raised in Trump’s face. If the media showed the video of Trump staring at protesters as they called him "Hitler" and "genocidal," they'd have to show the rest of the video, which would depict young passionate Americans shaming their president for not intervening and stopping the Gaza holocaust. But since the media operates at the behest of Israel, they all skipped it. They avoided it like the black plague—complete blackout. However, it attracted a little attention from late-night comedians. They all brought up Trump going to dinner in a restaurant in DC, but the punchline was never about him being called "genocidal Hitler" by pro-Palestine protesters and all Trump could do was stare at them in a funny way, or him walking right at them as they called him "Hitler" and chanted "Free Palestine." The punchlines from each of them—Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel—were all similar and focused on the kind of food Trump ordered or how his entourage behaved like servants at the king’s dinner table. After a brief chuckle, they immediately shifted away from the story. Remember, this was like a Holy Grail for comedians and the media in these kinds of rare events where Trump gets shouted at. This was the first time Trump was protested to his face since he took office. It was a monumental moment, and protesters chanting "Free Palestine" at the restaurant where he expected a quiet dinner under the cameras of giddy media was absolutely a shock and unexpected in Trump's mind. The entire media ghosted this story because they all received the same talking point script from Hasbara.

2. Media Falsely Links Charlie Kirk’s Assassination to Unrelated Attacks on Pro-Israel Figures

The next story is the media linking Charlie Kirk’s assassination to the shooting of two Israeli embassy staff in Washington, DC—two violent acts which were not related. They also linked his assassination to a fire at the home of Josh Shapiro, the Philadelphia Governor, earlier this year. That fire, caused by a homeless person, allegedly had nothing to do with Israel, but media such as MSNBC (especially Morning Joe) and CNN all made sure to mention the Israeli angle. They brought up the Boulder, Colorado, attack and every incident where a pro-Israel person was the target of any kind of violent act in order to paint the whole thing as a war against pro-Israel people. And they made the assassination of Charlie Kirk all about his pro-Israel views and not as a person who was targeted for his views on LGBTQ as many have claimed, or that maybe he was assassinated by Israel because he was starting to drift away from its advocacy, as Candace Owens and Tucker are now convinced.

3. EU's Supposed Shift on Israel: Rhetoric Without Real Action

Number three is the EU and its supposed shift on Israel following the Gaza genocide, which the UN now officially confirmed. In response to Israel's brazen disregard for humanity and values dear to the EU, the EU chief diplomat Ursula von der Leyen held a press conference to show EU citizens that the organization is taking a tough stance against Israel. However, it turns out the EU has only slightly shifted in rhetoric, which wasn’t matched by action equal to Israel’s brutality and blatant disregard for the sanctity of life and human values. Her proposal is absolutely horrific and insulting to the millions of children slaughtered by Israel. Basically, what she has put forth is this: the EU will withhold aid and funds to Israeli institutions but will withhold nothing. The EU will impose sanctions, but only on two ministers selected by Israel to be sanctioned by the West as fall guys for the Gaza genocide. The two ministers, Ben Gvir and Smotrich, are designated for sanction —a human shield for the genocidal crimes of the Israeli government. These two ministers have become the punching bags for Europe and America, following Israel’s designation of them for sanctions. When Biden was still the president and Kamala was running, they wanted to show their base that they were tough on Israel. Biden’s aides went to Netanyahu and said to him: "Sir, we want you to throw us sacrificial jackals to sanction so that our base believes us when we say we are tough on Israel and we are not happy with its genocidal policies of your regime." Ben Gvir and Smotrich, the two most extremist Jewish radicals, volunteered. Since then, every country and entity that wants to deceive the public sanctions them. The US did, the UK and some Arab countries followed, and now the EU is copying them. They are the people whom Netanyahu is using to shift attention away from Israeli society. Netanyahu is the one making these decisions, not these two ministers. These two ministers are not even invited to the most crucial decisions most of the time. The people leading the genocide are Netanyahu the prime minister, Katz the defense minister, and the heads of Mossad and Shin Bet—and none of them is being sanctioned by the EU. Religious leaders, civil society, and even the families of the hostages lead and cheer for the genocide. They went to CNN, as soon as Qatar was attacked by Israel, to say Israel was right, we don't know what we do—essentially supporting the strike. A large portion of Israeli society supports the horror taking place in Gaza. The EU has already conceded it doesn't want to punish Israel for the genocide but wants to help it manage Gaza’s humanitarian catastrophes in the aftermath. “I want to be very clear. The aim is not to punish Israel. The aim is to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza,” said Kaja Kallas, a top EU diplomat. The EU’s measures, although marketed as a major shift in the organization's Middle East policies, are at best PR performances to calm their public’s dismay at the organization's lack of enforcement of its moral codes and human rights values.

4. UN Security Council Unanimously Condemns Israel—But Avoids Naming It

Another key story you missed is the Security Council having all of its 15 members for the first time signing on to a resolution against Israel. The Security Council, including the US, issued a statement condemning Israel following its flagrant and brazen attack. This is the first time the UN Security Council has passed a resolution against Israel in which the United States voted in favor of it. The last time something close to this happened was in 2016 when Obama was leaving and Trump was coming. However, on that resolution, the United States abstained, not voted yes. And what happened next is history. We now know before the vote was taken, Israel and its agents embedded in the US political and financial machine did everything, including colluding with Russia via Donald Trump, to prevent the resolution from being passed. Israel contacted Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and a key advisor, and Mike Flynn to sabotage Obama’s foreign policy agenda in his final days in office. The two then talked to Trump and Russian ambassador Kislyak to weigh in. Trump, according to the Mueller Report, then called Egyptian president El Sisi—whose country sponsored the resolution—to take it back. All of these efforts eventually failed but showcased the power and influence of Netanyahu on Trump and his inner circle. However, this is not the most important part of the United Nations Security Council voting unanimously to condemn the actions of Israel. The most important part is that the Security Council avoided mentioning Israel's name in the condemnatory statement. They intentionally and purposely avoided mentioning Israel. So in the end, the statement is basically nothing—it's worthless. Because if the perpetrator of this heinous act, which the Council found abhorrent in principle, is not named, what good is the statement? It's just another pathetic attempt at grandstanding and a dubious performance dance to show international norms still stand, even though they don't and are constantly broken by Israel.

5. Netanyahu's Predicted Pick to Lead Turning Point USA After Charlie Kirk's Killing

The fifth and final story you missed is who Netanyahu plans to pick to lead Turning Point USA following the killing of Charlie Kirk. Because we know TPUSA is crucial to the Israeli government’s influence in Republican politics and allegedly maintains propaganda cooperation with Hasbara and Mossad. The organization, whose lifeline depends on donations from rabid Zionist billionaires and philanthropists, would not survive without their generous support—but that support is always contingent on the organization doing Israel’s bidding. Therefore, to satisfy all the stakeholders while protecting the organization's cover as an America First organization, I predict Netanyahu to pick Matt Walsh. Because with Charlie Kirk now out of the way, Netanyahu got his wish to appoint his successor, who is even more unabashedly pro-Israel at Turning Point USA. One key criterion: outwardly Christian Bible-thumping pro-Crusader; inwardly racist, Israel-first Zionist fanatic. If I were a betting man, my money would be on Matt Walsh or Benny Johnson taking over TPUSA. Watch out how aggressively Hasbara engages with each of them in the coming hours and days. NOTE: Matt Walsh holds the advantage right now as he is already rigorously vetted by Ben Shapiro.
