Can you believe it is October already, and three years since Israel launched its holocaust marathon on Palestine with the blessing or participation of the world—the UN, the United States, the EU, and the Arab and Muslim world? To be fair, some Arab and Muslim countries have not actively blessed or participated in this orgy of holocaust alongside Israel, but their silence is equally complicit and condemnable.
It is difficult to pick a particular moment as the worst in this ongoing holocaust because every moment has shocked the conscience to its core. From the relentless bombing campaigns that have erased Rafah, reduced entire neighborhoods in Gaza to rubble, to the massacre of entire families, the destruction of hospitals and schools turned into death traps, and the systematic annihilation of Palestinian civilians, the horror has been unending. One particularly horrifying episode was the bombing of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital on October 17, 2023, which killed over 500 civilians, including women and children, an atrocity that shocked the global community but did not halt the massacre. The repeated airstrikes on densely populated refugee camps, such as the Jabalia camp, destroyed homes and claimed thousands of innocent lives, a level of annihilation that defies comprehension.
The Jewish state's level of brutality and brazenness has been inconsistent only in that each atrocity surpasses the last, turning the previous horrors into mere child's play. However, where Israel has been unyielding is in the Amalek pledge—the ancient Jewish Jihad war cry—that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu invoked on October 9, 2023, the day after the October 7 attacks. Netanyahu declared:
"We are at war with the Amalekites. We will wipe them out completely, leaving none alive."
This pledge invokes the ancient Jewish Jihad method of retribution, revenge, and total annihilation against those perceived as enemies.
Netanyahu has been fulfilling that pledge relentlessly for three years. He has been killing more than 30,000 babies, pregnant mothers, donkeys, and cattle, obliterating everything in his path. After the so-called ceasefire announced by Trump, Netanyahu had to find new ways to keep Jewish Israelis enthusiastic about his murderous campaign by seasoning the daily genocide. For them, he plated each day freshly with new justifications and lies to maintain internal support for the slaughter.
One of the new strategies Netanyahu adopted to keep his population engaged with the genocide is to justify each massive bombardment—exterminating dozens of women and children—by claiming they targeted individuals directly involved in the October 7 attacks. This is despite Israel's fierce and shameless disputes over the death toll numbers, often trying to categorize hundreds of thousands of Palestinians killed as Hamas militants rather than civilians. Israeli propaganda repeatedly insists that at least 30,000 of those killed in Gaza were Hamas operatives involved in planning and executing the October 7 attacks. This claim underpins their genocide apology phrase of a "two-thirds to one-third" ratio of militants to civilians, a statistic widely debunked by independent observers.
To continue fulfilling the biblical pledge Netanyahu made to slaughter Palestinian children, donkeys, and pregnant mothers, Israel needed a new excuse. Not that it really needed one—the world not only provided the legal license to hunt and slaughter Palestinian children in these living concentration camps but also supplied the instruments: AI-enabled surveillance technologies and 2,000 bombs dropped relentlessly on Gaza. Yet, to sustain the appetite for genocide among its population, Israel branded each murder as a justified act against active participants in the October 7 attacks, thus seasoning their daily atrocities for internal consumption.
This is the reality, now marking three years of relentless, merciless slaughter and wholesale extermination under the banner of ancient vengeance.
